As per my yearly ritual, I recently shared my ubiquitous new-year-goals-dreams-review which generally all about, well, me. When I first started ZOMT, I wrote mostly for myself, and I still like to do this occasionally.

That said, what I enjoy even more, is writing for YOU. I get so much motivation, inspiration and pleasure from sharing with you that I wanted to do another new year style post, the difference being that this one is all about you!

If you missed it on my Facebook page, I’ve officially named 2014 The Year of The Hustle. You can take this or leave it, but that’s what I’m rolling with. It’s all about staying determined, embracing change and always hustlin’ for achieving those goals. Being the best version of you.

Perhaps this year is about finally setting an action plan to reach those goals you didn’t quite hit last year, or setting completely new ones. I think one of the most exciting things we can do for ourselves in order to grow and be more awesome, is to simply change. Change is often a scary thing for a lot of people (especially us control freaks), but it is something I have forced myself into over the past years and now I relish in the uncomfortable delight of it. Because change always brings out the best in me.

Just this week I watched one of our biggest names in the fitness industry bite the bullet and embrance change in a big way. Fitness First unveiled their new branding and philosophy at the Sydney Market Street club – all designed to bring significant improvements to their members’ fitness experience. We’re talking state of the art brand spanking new clubs, new equipment, a fresh new brand and logo (red!) and more flexible options for membership.

They saw where improvements could be made and they acted on it. They changed to be a better Fitness First than before. I’m looking forward to checking out the million dollar upgrade Market Street Club soon too!

I think that their catchy #changeforthebest hashtag sums it up perfectly.

So what might you change this year?

How will you change and be the best version of you?
