As I mention in a recent google hangout, my best fat loss is when I have focused on my health and managing my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) symptoms. It’s a circle of happiness for me – staying as lean as I can means my PCOS symptoms are managed and my hormones are at their most balanced and in turn, keeping my symptoms managed and hormones balances makes it easier to stay lean!

But, for women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, we have a bit more of a battle when it comes to fat loss. Insulin resistance, slower metabolisms, hormonal imbalance, inflammation and food sensitivities are contribute to the opposite environment that we want for fat loss. PCOS fat loss is a tricky subject and very individual for each woman, so it is especially difficult to take a blanket approach. However, there are certainly a few things that appear to be working across the majority of women with PCOS to help them manage their symptoms and weight. For me, stomach fat is my hardest part to lower; but the photo above shows a progress of 3 weeks or so, so it is possible!

I trained with Chris for about 6 months in 2012-13 when he was based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I had decided that I needed a few one-on-one PT sessions because my normal coach (George Saragas) does all my coaching from QLD. So I found Chris and committed to just doing one PT session a month and he ended up doing my nutrition planning and Biosignature too. He helped me get some great results and I loved his training sessions. He has a great knack for pushing you hard, but every sess was super fun too.

Unfortunately for me, Chris then had an amazing opportunity to move to Dubai with his lovely wife Lauren (interview with Lauren coming soon too!) and their beautiful little girl.

So if you’re in Dubai, then you’re in luck and can check out Chris Dufey here. Chris does also do online coaching for anyone not in Dubai.

I asked Chris to do this Google Hangout on PCOS and especially PCOS fat loss, because he took a great holistic approach when I trained with him and also because since moving to Dubai, he has found that it is even more common there.

We talk about –

  • Diet for PCOS fat loss
  • Training
  • Sleep and stress management
  • Supplementation

If you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) or even any other hormonal imbalance, then you’re going to watch this video and find out how Chris Dufey helps his clients still achieve great health and fat loss.
