I’ve been meaning to post about the Healthy Foodie Afternoon event for a few months now … it’s only taken me a total of five events to finally get around to doing it. The good news is that I have a stack of photos to share with you now, and I’m going to share with you one of the yummy smoothie recipes – the Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie (scroll down).

They are a lot of work to prepare for but so much fun too. I just love setting up for them, making everything super cute, getting to meet such beautiful bunches of ladies and sharing lots of delicious, healthy eating ideas.

There’s been two Melbourne events (thanks mum and dad for letting me take over your house) and three at our beachfront home in Coolangatta. Every event, I get wonderful feedback from the guests about what a lovely afternoon it is and how much it’s inspired them to eat healthier and given them lots of ideas. (Honestly though, I get so much out of it as well … I’m loving connecting with like minded women and they inspire ME to be my best).

Then on top of that, I get to hear about the amazing results from those that choose to join the Complete Detox Cleanse Nourish program or start their ‘healthy habit’ with Juice Plus.

What happens during the afternoon?

My lovely guests arrive and mingle over a glass (or two!) of champagne. So we don’t feel too virtuous – life’s about balance!

Then we get started! First up, it’s hands-on learning how to make your own healthy Salad-in-a-Jar with beautiful, fresh produce and ingredients.

Then you get to taste test some amazingly delicious Raw Treats made by me! Samples include this amazing Raw Salted Caramel Slice and my zesty Lemon Cheesecake Amazeballs.

Then I’ll show you some nourishing Smoothies recipes – including detox and protein ones. Of course you get to taste test these as well (don’t eat a big lunch before you come along!).

And finally, you’ll find out about our delicious, healthy eating program The Complete Detox Cleanse Nourish and understand how whole-food supplements can make a massive difference to your health. Plus, I’ll share a little about my own health journey and we always end up chatting about other general healthy eating topics!

Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie

This delicious easy smoothie recipe is a great breakfast when you’re in a rush, or half it for a yummy mid afternoon snack!

Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie

Serves: 1
Ingredients
  • 1 sachet Dutch Chocolate Complete
  • 100g frozen organic blueberries
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • ¼ avocado OR 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • Almond milk as needed
Method
  1. Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender.
  2. Add about 200ml of almond milk to start and blend until smooth. Add more almond milk as needed to desired consistency.
  3. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
